Zydacron Austria and ThuisConnect (The Netherlands) Conclude Agreement of Cooperation in the Field of Comfort Services

Service Provider ThuisConnect starts to promote Comfort Services in the Netherlands – Zydacron implements video communication using TV, PC, Mobile for comfort and healthcare applications.

July 29, 2009: Zydacron Austria are proud to announce that an agreement has recently been signed with ThuisConnect regarding the implementation of Zydacron’s video communication for healthcare and home applications in ThuisConnect’s product and services portfolio.

The TV as the core of the communication at home
Comfort Services offered by ThuisConnect is a platform combining Telehealth Services, Communication Services and Digital TV Services. Especially the generation 50+ shall be enabled to have direct face-to-face contact from their home using a television set, pc or mobile with healthcare professionals, friends and family.

Digital TV and Surfing the Internet
Via Zydacron’s set-top box, ThuisConnect customers will be able to use their TV to surf the Internet and to consume IPTV content, such as video on demand and various personalized services. Other features of this multimedia box are galleries, where customers can upload and share pictures and videos, as well as messaging tools, enabling customers to chat with each other via their TV.

Roll-Out in Autumn 2009
According to the Agreement between ThuisConnect and Zydacron, a roll-out of 10.000 boxes will be started this Autumn in the Netherlands. Further rollout is planned in Europe starting in Spain, France and Belgium.

TC's international platform enables easy low cost roll out of comfort services at all levels.
The technology used - simple plug and play connection with DSL, fiber, cable and mobile networks - is easy to implement for national and local organizations and fully scalable.
